Reaching |
|
|
|

OM Ireland seeks to reach people with the good news about Jesus. Our vision is to see individual lives transformed and long-term impact in local communities and Irish society through direct, personal evangelism, sports camps, creative ministry programmes and much more
Preaching the Gospel and making disciples is central to any Gospel ministry. Less than 1% of the population of Ireland would profess to having a personal relationship with Christ. Out of compassion for those who do not know Christ and in obedience to our Lord's Great Commission, OM Ireland is seeking to be intentional in reaching people with the life-changing message of the Gospel.
2 Corinthians 5:17- "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!"
Key goals for 2011
- Receiving a minimum of 10 short term teams to work alongside Irish churches
- Develop regular open-air evangelism events in the town centre of Athlone in partnership with local churches.
- Host a minimum of 3 cross walks (typically 1-week long) across Ireland. During these journeys carrying a 12' wooden cross on our shoulders, we seek to engage people as we go with prayer and the life-changing message of the Gospel.
- Host the 3rd annual Anders Forsbrand/FCA Junior Golf Camp at Glasson Hotel and Golf Club, April 18-21.
- A two week tour of primary schools performing a variety show written and produced by our creative ministries team teaching the real meaning of Easter.
- A three week tour of primary schools and churches performing a variety show written and produced by our creative ministries team teaching the real meaning of Christmas.
- Produce and perform at least one Gospel variety show for adults/families in the midlands region.
- Hold 20 primary school puppet workshops in which we teach and train students in puppet making and basic puppetry while teaching them and training them how to use puppets to tell the story of the Gospel.

Equipping |
|
|
|

OM Ireland seeks to equip, and resource the local church so that together, in partnership, we can reach the lost through the proclamation of the Gospel.
We aim to assist local churches by offering to provide short-term teams, interns through our year programme (Immersion), training in such areas as evangelism and creative arts. We also make available a wide variety of resources for churches including gospel tracts, DVD-based training courses, puppets, kids club curriculum and much more.
The typical evangelical church in Ireland is very small. Given that evangelicals comprise less than 1% of the population of the country, it is easy to see why most churches would consist of less than 50 members. Often these churches are led by individuals with vision and passion, but they lack support in terms of workers within the church. Even when church attendance is up, there is often a shortage or lack of quality resources with which the church has to function.
By equipping local churches, they will be more effective in reaching their communities and seeing lives transformed.
Key goals for 2011
- Hold a minimum of five regional evangelism training seminars, targeting churches surrounding the areas of Athlone, Dublin, Cork, Letterkenny, and Galway.
- Lead a minimum of 10 church youth groups in workshops training them how to use drama in Gospel ministry.
- Lead a minimum of 10 creative ministries workshops where participants learn basic practical skills in creative arts ministry (Puppets, balloon modeling, face painting etc.)
- Invest in a minimum of three workshops for our creative ministries team in which they continue to hone their skills and develop new ministry opportunities.
- In partnership with One Way-UK, provide creative arts resources to Irish churches. The goal would be to sell a minimum of €1,000 in resources that are available at our various training workshops.
- Update the OM Ireland Website to include evangelism training videos and videos of actual witness encounters we engage in on the streets across the country.
- In partnership with Life FM and Athlone Community Radio, we plan to take advantage of opportunities to provide a variety of Gospel programming including devotions, Q&A, and witness encounters.
- Assist in developping a youth discipleship programme for a monthly Christian youth gathering, "The Edge".
Support the development of a youth discipleship programme in Ray/Newtowncunningham.
- Recruit 10 new students for the 2011/2012 programme year. Train and equip these students to prepare them for effective ministry in Ireland.
Assist churches in developing a strategy for utilising Immersion interns effectively.
Support a minimum of 4 churches with Immersion participants.
- In continued partnership with Living Waters Europe, provide evangelistic resources (tracts, books, DVDs etc.) to local churches. Goal to sell minimum of €5,000 in resources.

Mobilising |
|
|
|

Mobilisation can be defined as faith in action. Our desire is to see every member of the church mobilised to pray, give financially, and/or to go and serve.
We recognise that God mobilises His people. We feel our role is to create and promote opportunities for Christians to put their faith into action.
Key Goals for 2011
- Mobilise a minimum of 100 Teens from Ireland to TeenStreet.
- Identify and capture information for all evangelical churches in Ireland into PETRA database and begin the process of establishing and/or nurturing relationships with them in a strategic and intentional manner.
- Develop partnerships with other Irish mission agencies with the specific goal of working together to see Irish churches mobilised into Mission.
- Intentionally seek to mobilise a minimum of 5 Irish participants for Impact Ireland, our largest single outreach of the year.
- Actively recruit appropriate personnel needed for open roles: personnel, youth/TS coordinator.
