Finance Assistant: Ireland

We’re looking for a self motivated, servant hearted person with an eye for detail to perform various accounting, administrative and bookkeeping tasks in the OM Ireland finance office. You’ll be working in a crucial support role, assisting in the managing of cash flow and ensuring good stewardship of our finances. You will be working alongside our Finance Manager, however, you need to be able to work independently.
Handle data entry, payment of bills, accounts, banking, record keeping etc.

  • Start Date: As soon as possible
  • Commitment Length: 1-2 years (full time)

You will be part of OM Ireland’s international community, living and working alongside people from at least 10 different nationalities. Like other team members you are encouraged to be involved in team ministries as time permits. Ideally some accounting training and/or experience would be helpful, but someone who is good at handling details and working with figures could be trained for this role.
Some computer skills are essential, and familiarity with Microsoft Excel would be very useful.

Key tasks include:

  • Processing of payments and other banking matters
  • Processing data in the accounting programs
  • Regular reconciliations of bank accounts and other control accounts
  • Processing information to and from OM’s International Clearing House
  • Assisting with preparation of monthly reports, and distribution of reports as required
  • recording and receipting gifts received by OM Ireland
  • assisting with project accounting
