Impact Ireland 2010 - into action PDF Print

Impact Ireland 2010Impact Ireland teams have sprung into action across Ireland this week.  Over 50 people from seven different nations are taking part in OM Ireland's summer outreach.  After a three-day training conference, teams have spread out to work alongside churches and other ministries in Cork, Navan, Tullamore, Mountmellick, Mohill and Wicklow.

This year's theme "Love in Action, Faith in Action" expresses the heart behind "Impact Ireland" - making a lasting impact in the lives of individuals and communities by sharing and demonstrating the good news of Jesus Christ.

One team leader shared, "The people here are so happy to have us working in their church and that has been a major encouragement.  The holiday club kicked off this morning and it was wonderful!  We had about ten kids, but this afternoon we traveled to one of the estates and did face painting and balloons!  Some members of the team had the opportunity to share about Jesus with some of the parents in the estate, and that was incredible!"

Another leader shared, "The team has been very busy providing dance, puppets, balloons, bagpipes, face painting... very long days. Today begins a new phase for this team as they will begin a lot of street work including sharing their faith with people, feeding the homeless and busking to raise funds for the church's ongoing bus ministry to the homeless."

Please pray:

  • For strength and boldness each day
  • For protection from illness or injury
  • For unity on the teams and between the teams and their local churches
