Who's who at OM Ireland: Andrea Swartzell PDF Print

andrea2
Andrea, from Atlanta, GA, USA, has a passion for music, homiletics, and “speed scrabble”.  Before joining OM Ireland as the Administrative Coordinator, she taught instrumental music with youth (11-15) for seven years.

Andrea first came here on a short-term endeavor after a friend she met in Costa Rica invited her to come and help for the summer.  It was during that summer that God captured her heart for Ireland reminding her of Isaiah 42: 6-7 “ I, the LORD, have called you in righteousness; I will take hold of your hand.  I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people and a light for the Gentiles, to open eyes that are blind, to free captives from prison and to release from the dungeon those who sit in darkness.”

Sensing God’s call and her love for the Irish people who are “blind, captive, and sitting in darkness” apart from Jesus Christ, Andrea considers it a privilege and joy to be the Lord’s ambassador here in Ireland.

Andrea helps to provide the administrative resources and support to OM Ireland, including general office functions, reception, mailings, database management, accommodation/vehicle bookings, etc.  For the past two years, she has also served as the home office administrative support for TeenStreet, a youth conference that helps teens (13-17) grow in their friendship with Jesus and reflect Him daily in their world.

“While serving here in Ireland, says Andrea, "I have learned about being faithful in the little things, taking steps of faith in obedience to God, and remembering the promise of God’s faithfulness. ”
