Upon news of the decommissioning of the Doulos, Tomoko was asked whether she wanted to go to Europe with OM. "I didn't think Europe was a mission field," said Tomoko (Japan). "I thought there were many Christians in Europe!"

As Tomoko prayed about it, God spoke to her. One day, while unloading books for Logos Hope, she heard God clearly tell her that she should join the Transit Challenge team. There were only a few weeks left and six team members had already been accepted. There was only one space left, but within a few days, her placement was approved.

"The transition time has been quite challenging," said Tomoko, "but I am looking forward to leaving for Belgium this Sunday. I am excited about the ministry we will be involved in over the next few months in Europe." Pray that God would use the Transit Challenge team to encourage local churches and OM teams in seven countries over the next seven months.

VON DER DOULOS NACH EUROPA

Nachdem klar geworden war, dass die Doulos ihren Betrieb einstellen muss, wurde die Doulos-Mitarbeiterin Tomoko aus Japan gefragt, ob sie mit OM in Europa arbeiten wolle. Sie erzählt: "Ich dachte, dass es nicht nötig sei, nach Europa zu reisen, um dort die gute Nachricht von Jesus weiterzugeben, denn da gibt es ja schon viele Christen. Trotzdem begann ich Gott zu bitten, mir zu zeigen, ob er mich in Europa haben wollte.

"Einmal, als ich auf der Doulos Bücher einpackte, spürte ich plötzlich ganz klar, dass ich mich fürs Transit Challenge Team melden sollte. Dieses Team besteht aus 7 Leuten und besucht während 7 Monaten 7 europäische Länder. In wenigen Wochen würde das Team starten. Sechs Teilnehmer waren bereits angenommen. Es konnte also nur noch eine Person dazu stossen. Ich meldete mich und nach wenigen Tagen erhielt ich die Teilnahme-Bestätigung."
