| Short-term outreach, long-term impact |
InternationalOM InternationalTorleif Sorlie, an OMer working in the international offices in the UK, spent a week serving at the OM booth at the Keswick Convention during August. One day, an Indian man approached the booth and asked about OM outreaches. He expressed interest in taking his whole family on an outreach so that his children could also be involved. As they talked, the man told Torleif his story. He was from a Hindu background and had never had any contact with Christians as a child. When he was 16 years old, he met a member of an OM team participating in an outreach in Birmingham where he grew up. This team member spent time with him and eventually led him to the Lord. Since then he has been following God, and because of the impact this outreach team had on his own life, he wanted his family to participate in outreaches to be a blessing to others. Praise God that this man’s life was changed many years ago. Many summer outreaches are currently underway; please pray for long-term impact in the lives of the participants and those they meet.
