| World Cup in Costa Rica |
Costa RicaOM InternationalThe World Cup 2010 did much more than bring family and friends together to watch the games, eat good food and celebrate (or cry) when their favourite team won (or lost); it gave the opportunity to share the good news of Jesus.OM Costa Rica took this opportunity. One morning during the World Cup, they took the 8:00 train to downtown San José, joining all those leaving for work or school. In a few hours they were able to hand out approximately 1500 World Cup tracts. Because football is such a famous sport in Costa Rica, everyone was willing to receive the tract. This opened the door to share the love of Jesus and pray for several that needed it that day. The last stop was downtown San José, where they got off and finished handing out the tracts to those on the street. Even though people were in a hurry to get to work, they had no hesitation to stop and receive a World Cup tract. Every opportunity can be taken to share the good news of Jesus!
