| Walking 2000km for the Word |
AustraliaOM InternationalThe job of spreading the Good News is far from finished. There are 2000 languages that still don’t have the Bible; this number represents 350 million people!OM Australia and Wycliffe have formed a partnership to raise awareness of this need. On 24 August, Dave, Carnsey and Sav will begin walking 2000km, from Cairns in Far North Queensland to Stanthorpe in the south, holding meetings along the way. Each kilometre they walk will represent a distinct living language that doesn’t yet have the Word of God. They plan to arrive in Stanthorpe on 11 November. Follow the walk on the 2000km website, the2000walk.com, where there will be updated blogs, resources for schools, Sunday school activities and more. Visit the2000walk.com/downloads for a short video about the walk, and join the team on Facebook at facebook.com/The2000walk. Please feel free to forward this information widely, as the aim is to raise awareness and prayer for this initiative. Please pray for protection and perseverance for Dave, Carnsey and Sav during their journey. Pray that many will be open to hearing their message. Credit: OM International |
